The Mark II operates via a straight blowback, single-action system with a fixed barrel and tubular receiver. Its internal bolt is left in-the-white and is manipulated by rear grasping ears. A last-shot bolt hold-open is built in, aligning with the Mark II series design.
The 4.75 inch alloy-steel barrel is tapered, fixed, and unthreaded. Sighting is straightforward and rugged, using a fixed blade front in a banded base and an integral rear notch machined into the receiver.
Controls are simple and reliable: a heel-style magazine release, a manual safety, and a single-action trigger. Capacity is 10+1 rounds, and this pistol includes three steel 10-round magazines compatible with the Mark II heel-catch system.
Construction is all-steel where it counts, with a blued finish on the frame and receiver. The grip panels are black checkered synthetic with Ruger eagle medallions. A factory legal warning rollmark is present on the right side of the receiver. Country of origin is the USA.
