The 77/17 All-Weather configuration centers on a 24-inch stainless, sporter-contour, non-fluted barrel mated to a stainless receiver. Ruger’s integral scope bases are machined into the receiver, and there are no iron sights. A Ruger-style gas relief port is positioned forward of the ejection port.
The laminated hardwood stock, finished in a grey/green tone, uses a straight-comb profile with a rubber recoil pad. Two sling-swivel studs are installed from the factory to support typical carry or rest setups.
This model employs a right-hand bolt with a round knob and a three-position safety mounted on the bolt sleeve. The detachable, flush-fit rotary magazine is released via a rear latch for secure retention and easy changes.
A Simmons AETEC riflescope is mounted in two split rings that attach directly to the Ruger integral bases, giving the rifle a ready-to-use optical setup. The rifle was manufactured in the United States in 2003.
