Wartime markings and inspection stamps identify this example as a WWII Colt M1911A1 accepted under G.H.D. oversight, with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M1911A1 U.S. ARMY" roll marks. "P" firing proofs are present on the slide top and frame.
It presents core A1-pattern features: frame relief cuts, an arched and vertically serrated mainspring housing with lanyard loop, a short serrated trigger, and a short wide-spur checkered hammer. The slide has rear cocking serrations and a standard non-lowered ejection port.
The pistol is built with a parkerized steel slide and frame and a 5-inch barrel, chambered in .45 ACP. It uses fixed GI sights with a small blade front and small notch rear, consistent with the service configuration of the period.
Brown checkered plastic grips with reinforcement rings complete the correct WWII-era grip pattern. The included 7-round steel magazine is a later 1911-pattern unit marked "Made in Italy" with numbered witness holes.
Mechanically, the platform follows the short-recoil, locked-breech, single-action design and is a full-size 1911 with a 7+1 capacity.
