The Extreme variant features black/gray layered G10 grip panels with the SIG SAUER logo that provide a firm, textured hold. The traditional SIG DA/SA system uses a frame-mounted decocking lever with a separate slide catch for intuitive operation.
The slide has front and rear cocking serrations, and the aluminum alloy frame incorporates an integral Picatinny-style accessory rail on the dustcover. The frontstrap and backstrap carry fine vertical serrations, and the magazine well is lightly beveled for smooth magazine changes.
High-visibility sights are installed: an orange fiber-optic front and green fiber-optic rear in a 3-dot configuration. This setup offers a bright, easily referenced sight picture under varied lighting.
Included is a SilencerCo 9x19 threaded barrel for the SIG P226 (not installed), adding flexibility to the package. The magazine is marked Made in Italy with a steel body. Manufacturer rollmarks read Exeter, NH USA, and the case label is dated March 24, 2011, with matching serial noted on the frame and case.
