The MMR Tactical is built on 7075-T6 aluminum receivers with a Type III hard-coat anodized finish. The lower is marked MOSSBERG NORTH HAVEN, CT USA, CAL 5.56mm NATO, and MMR. Controls include a forward assist, shell deflector, ejection-port dust cover, and a manual safety. A Made in USA marking appears on the stock/tube area.
The 16.5-inch 4140 carbon steel barrel is free-floated and threaded 1/2x28, capped with an A2-style birdcage flash hider. A 1:8 twist rate supports versatile 5.56mm use. The rifle feeds from standard AR-15 pattern magazines and has a 30+1 capacity.
A slim, free-float aluminum handguard provides M-LOK slots and a continuous top Picatinny section of approximately 13 inches. Flip-up front and rear iron sights are installed, and the upper’s rail offers straightforward mounting for additional sighting systems if desired.
The factory polymer stock is 6-position collapsible with a sling loop and textured buttplate. An aftermarket Sylvan Arms hinge-type folding stock adapter is installed between the lower receiver and receiver extension for compact storage and transport. The rifle uses an A2-style polymer pistol grip, and the listed length of pull is 15.5.
