This 1899 Mauser Modelo Argentino 1891 was manufactured by Ludwig Loewe & Co. in Berlin and retains its factory receiver and barrel markings. It is chambered in 7.65x53mm Mauser with a 22-inch barrel and shows matching serial numbers on the receiver, barrel, bolt, floorplate/triggerguard assembly, and stock. The front end has been sporterized, and fire-blued small parts and shield-shaped inspection cartouches remain visible. The receiver crest has been removed.
