This Romanian-made SAR-1 is a 2003-production, AKM-pattern semi-automatic rifle built by Cugir and imported by Century Arms International. It features a stamped receiver with magwell dimples, a ribbed top cover, and ban-era front-end configuration with an unthreaded, plain-crown muzzle. Clear Romanian and C.A.I. Georgia, VT markings are present, and the serial format includes a year-coded "-2003" suffix that aligns with its production era.
Chambered in 7.62x39, the rifle uses the long-stroke gas piston system with a rotating bolt and a detachable AK-pattern magazine interface. It retains classic AKM features including a 90-degree gas block, a front sight post, and an AKM tangent rear sight.
