The 1895G Guide Gun format delivers the short, handy profile associated with this series: an unported 18.5 in barrel, a short tubular magazine of approximately 4+1 capacity, and a standard loop lever. This example is chambered in .45-70 Govt and carries the North Haven, Connecticut factory rollmark and JM stamp on the barrel.
Metal construction is blued carbon steel throughout, including the receiver and barrel. The receiver is drilled and tapped, and two-piece scope bases are already installed for easy optic mounting if desired. Operation is via a right-side loading gate with side ejection, and it uses Marlin’s cross-bolt safety.
Sighting provisions include a ramped front sight with a dovetailed blade; the front sight hood is not present. The unported barrel configuration maintains the traditional Guide Gun look and feel.
The stock set is walnut with a straight-grip profile and checkering for positive purchase. It includes sling swivel studs and a black rubber ventilated recoil pad with Marlin medallion. Length of pull measures 13.25 in.
