The Model 34-1 is clearly marked on the yoke, and the barrel carries correct factory rollmarks: ".22 LONG RIFLE Ctg." on the right and "SMITH & WESSON" on the left. The frame wears the S&W trademark logo on the right side with the "MADE IN U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADAS SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS." rollmark. These details align with late-1980s production.
This revolver uses the J-frame in a square-butt configuration with a six-shot fluted cylinder. The topstrap and rib are serrated, and the cylinder release latch is checkered/serrated for positive control. The build is all carbon steel with a uniform blued finish on the frame, cylinder, and barrel.
