The Carry Comp system uses an integrally compensated stainless barrel with a single 12 o'clock Power Port and matching slide cuts. This factory configuration is designed into the 4 inch barrel length and paired with an open-top/side-port slide treatment at the muzzle.
The optics-ready slide uses the RMSc footprint and includes S&W's ClearSight relief to help divert gas away from the mounted optic area. Chevron front and rear serrations, a relief cut behind the ejection port, and lightening/vent cuts at the muzzle round out the slide features. The slide wears a black Armornite finish.
The pistol is a striker-fired, semi-automatic design with a flat-face trigger for a consistent pull. Controls include a reversible magazine release. This example is the no manual thumb safety variant.
