The Platypus blends a 1911 single-action, hammer-fired operating system with Glock 17-pattern magazine compatibility for a 17+1 capacity in 9mm Luger. A flared magwell supports fast reloads, and the square trigger guard offers added control space.
The government-length slide and 5" barrel pair with functional features: a relief-cut ejection port, textured grasping panels front and rear, lightening windows near the muzzle, and a top-side textured panel near the muzzle. The slide wears a matte dark finish.
The CNC-machined aluminum frame keeps weight down while retaining durability, finished in a matching matte dark tone. The integral full-length 1913/Picatinny rail is ready for lights or other accessories. Controls include an ambidextrous thumb safety and a grip safety, with a skeletonized trigger and a skeletonized commander-style hammer.
Sighting is straightforward and fast: a green fiber-optic front in a dovetail and a plain black rear in a dovetail. Aggressive prickle-textured grips provide secure purchase. Made in the USA.
