The M1A SOCOM 16 is built on Springfield Armory’s gas-operated M14/M1A pattern with a right-side operating rod and a rotating bolt. Chambered in .308 Winchester, it offers a 10+1 capacity and an overall length of about 37.25 in, delivering the proven M1A action in a compact SOCOM configuration.
This rifle wears a walnut GI-profile stock paired with a polymer upper handguard and steel sling swivels. The receiver heel is marked "US RIFLE M1A SPRINGFIELD ARMORY," and the barrel/handguard area carries the "SOCOM 16" designation. It was manufactured in 2012 in the United States.
Factory iron sights include an adjustable ghost ring rear with windage and elevation knobs, matched to a wing-protected front blade mounted on the shortened gas-lock/front-sight base.
