This Russian-made Izhmash Saiga-12 is a pre-ban RAA import that predates the July 16, 2014 sanctions on Russian Kalashnikov imports. It is thoughtfully upgraded with a Zenitco PT-5 adjustable aluminum stock, Zenitco RP-1 extended charging handle knob, a tan anodized quad-rail forend, and a Guntec USA slip-over barrel shroud with multi-port brake. A Klarus VGL1 vertical foregrip light is installed, and the shotgun includes two 10-round magazines.

Made in Russia by Izhmash and imported by Russian American Armory Company in Scottsburg, Indiana, this Saiga-12 carries factory markings in both Latin and Cyrillic along with receiver stamps for 12x76 (3 in) chamber and 18.3 mm bore. As a pre-ban RAA import, it sits in the desirable window prior to the 2014 U.S. sanctions that halted new Russian Kalashnikov imports.
It uses the proven gas-operated, long-stroke piston system with a two-position adjustable gas regulator. Controls follow the AK pattern, including a paddle-style magazine release, manual safety selector, and a manual bolt-hold-open lever. The shotgun feeds from detachable rock-and-lock box magazines and retains the original no-magwell configuration.
The 19 in barrel is paired with an iron sight set consisting of a protected front post/bead and an AK-pattern tangent rear. A left-side AK-pattern optics dovetail rail is present on the receiver. The stamped-steel receiver wears a black finish, and the current slip-over muzzle shroud extends overall length beyond the 19 in barrel.
Upgrades are extensive and functional: a Zenitco PT-5 adjustable aluminum skeleton stock with adjustable cheek piece and QD sling point, plus a Zenitco RP-1 extended, knurled charging-handle knob for improved purchase. The tan anodized aluminum quad-rail forend provides ample rail space, and a Klarus VGL1 vertical foregrip light is installed. As configured, the length of pull measures 12.0 in. Capacity is 10+1, and two 10-round polymer magazines are included.
