The Tyrant uses a direct-impingement operating system and is chambered in .300 AAC Blackout (7.62x35mm). Its 16-inch threaded barrel is fitted with a two-port side-ported muzzle brake, giving the rifle a ready-to-use configuration in this caliber.
The rifle features billet-style upper and lower receivers with an integral trigger guard and a mildly flared magwell. It includes AR-15 pattern touches such as a dust cover and forward assist, and the non-standard ejection-port cover is marked 300 BLK for easy caliber identification.
The free-float aluminum handguard is engraved with BLACK RAIN and multiple biohazard logos and includes a short 12 o'clock Picatinny rail section near the muzzle rather than a full-length top rail. The STANAG-pattern magazine interface supports detachable magazines, and the included 30-round polymer magazine matches the platform.
Furniture includes a 6-position collapsible stock with an approximate 10–13 inch length of pull range and an A2-pattern polymer pistol grip. Factory markings include BLACK RAIN ORDNANCE with the biohazard logo, Cal: MULTI, Mod: TYRANT, and NEOSHO, MO U.S.A., consistent with Black Rain Ordnance production.
