The Alpha Maxx series uses ATI’s metal-reinforced polymer receiver system, with rollmarks referencing U.S. Patent Nos. 8,789,305 and 9,068,786. The lower is marked "MULTI-CAL," and manufacturer markings include "American Tactical – Summerville, SC" and "MADE IN USA."
The 7.5 inch steel barrel is threaded and fitted with a three-slot flash hider (non-A2). The direct-impingement action uses a slick-side upper without a forward assist; it includes a shell deflector and ejection-port dust cover. A carbine-type receiver extension is installed.
The pistol wears a polymer handguard with elongated slots and a continuous full-length 12 o’clock Picatinny rail. Flip-up front and rear sights are included for immediate use.
Controls are straightforward, including a left-side manual safety with SAFE/FIRE markings and a standard magazine release. The pistol is finished in matte black with a polymer brace and polymer pistol grip.
This configuration ships with a co-branded Schmeisser 60-round quad-stack magazine with a witness window, yielding a 60+1 capacity in 5.56 NATO.
