The SAP M10 uses an open-bolt, simple blowback, semiautomatic action and accepts extended 32-round magazines. Capacity is 32+1. The pistol is full-size, with a 5.5 inch barrel that is externally threaded in the MAC pattern.
The welded sheet-steel receiver features shallow ribs, a rectangular ejection port, and a matte gray finish. A top-mounted cylindrical cocking knob provides charging, and a textured polymer pistol grip offers a secure hold.
Sighting is via a two-aperture flip rear peep. The underside strap-type manual safety is marked "SAFE - SAFE - FIRE." A triangular rear end-cap/stock interface plate is drilled for three holes; no stock is present.
