The M1911-A1 FS GI Standard follows the classic Government-pattern blueprint with a full-size 5-inch barrel chambered in .45 ACP. It is part of RIA’s GI Series and features a matte dark gray Parkerized finish over 4140 steel for both the frame and slide, with rear cocking serrations for positive manipulation.
Internally, it uses a Series 70-type design with no firing-pin safety. The pistol is single-action only and configured with a short, solid trigger and a spur hammer. Safety features include a thumb safety and a grip safety. GI-style controls include an arched mainspring housing along with the standard recoil spring plug and barrel bushing.
Sight regulation stays true to the GI pattern: a staked front blade paired with a fixed, low-profile rear. The button-rifled barrel contributes to the clean, sharp rifling; the barrel hood is marked "CAL. 45 ACP" for clear chamber designation.
This example is customized with wraparound rubber finger-groove grips that incorporate checkered panels and reddish wood inserts. It uses the single-stack Government-pattern magazine interface and ships with six magazines, providing an immediately useful set for range or rotation. Origin and markings include "PHILIPPINES" and Armscor/RIA documentation.
