What’s Included
- Maadi Hakim 8mm Mauser semi-automatic rifle
- 1x 10-round steel detachable box magazine (Hakim pattern)
- Leather sling (attached)
The Hakim’s operating system is gas-operated direct impingement with an adjustable gas regulator, allowing the user to tune the rifle to ammunition and conditions. Its tilting-bolt locking design and the gas-adjustment stem visible through the upper handguard are core elements of the platform’s Ljungman lineage.
Controls and handling are characteristically Hakim: a left-side dog-leg charging handle tied to a sheet-metal sliding top cover with serrated grasping pads. The rifle uses a detachable 10-round box magazine and can be topped off with standard 5-round Mauser stripper clips, with a listed capacity of 10+1.
Sighting equipment consists of a ring-protected front post and a tangent rear sight with Arabic graduations. Markings include "HAKIM 7.9mm MADE IN EGYPT" on the right side of the receiver, along with Arabic script ahead of the ejection port.
The hardwood stock is full-length with a separate upper handguard, two barrel bands, and sling hardware consisting of a bottom/front swivel on the lower band and a rear swivel mounted on the left side of the buttstock. The fixed perforated cylindrical muzzle brake, 25.1-inch barrel, and approximately 47.9-inch overall length contribute to the platform’s stable shooting characteristics, with an approximate unloaded weight of 10.5 lb and a 13.0-inch length of pull.
