The rifle uses the Mark V magnum-pattern action with nine locking lugs and a 54-degree bolt lift, delivering the short bolt throw that Mark V rifles are known for. It feeds from an internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate and a 3+1 capacity. The safety is a right-side lever with a red indicator dot.
Barrel configuration is a 26-inch tapered sporter profile in polished blued steel. The receiver is drilled and tapped, and this example wears installed Buehler bases and rings. There are no open sights.
This is a Howa/Japan production Mark V, marked "MADE IN JAPAN" and dating to the early 1980s. The H-prefix serial range aligns with circa 1983–1984 manufacture during the Japanese production era.
The Deluxe-grade stock is a high-gloss hardwood Monte Carlo design with a right-hand rollover cheekpiece. It features skip-line checkering, a rosewood forend tip with spacer, a flush-fit oval rosewood grip cap with gold-tone "W" inlay, a ventilated recoil pad, and sling swivel studs. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
An installed Weatherby Premier 3-9x scope with a "Japan" medallion is included, complementing the rifle's period-correct setup on the Buehler steel mounts.
