Stealth Arms Platypus Comp 9mm 1911-Style Pistol, 4.25 in Barrel with Integrated Single-Port Compensator, 17+1, Matte Silver/Gray
This Stealth Arms Platypus Comp is a compensated, 1911-platform 9mm built in Celina, Ohio, and set up for high-capacity duty with Glock 17–pattern magazines. It pairs a Commander-length 4.25 in barrel with an integrated single-port compensator, a government-length railed dust cover, and slide lightening windows, all finished in matte silver/gray. It is in excellent condition and includes two 17-round magazines, a soft case, and the factory manual.
The Comp model stands out with its single-port, integrated compensator and forward/rear slide serrations flanking vented windows for a distinctive look and balanced top end. Fixed iron sights with a green fiber-optic front and a square-notch rear provide a clean, durable sight picture.
Controls and ergonomics reflect its 1911 lineage: single-action, hammer-fired operation with ambidextrous thumb safeties and a grip safety, plus a skeletonized hammer. Aggressive "prickle" pattern grip panels and a flared magwell support confident handling.
A government-length railed dust cover with multiple slots offers broad accessory placement, while the matte silver/gray slide and frame present a cohesive, modern finish. The design accepts Glock 17–pattern magazines (often marked "PLATYPUS 17") and ships here with two 17-round Glock OEM mags for a 17+1 capacity.
