The Spartan V follows the 1911 platform with a full-size frame and a 5-inch Government-length slide. The bushing-fitted barrel and carbon-steel construction provide a traditional setup, finished in a Parkerized treatment on both slide and frame for a uniform, utilitarian look.
Sighting is handled by a dovetailed fiber-optic front sight with an orange/red rod and a dovetailed LPA adjustable rear sight. Front and rear cocking serrations on the slide aid manipulation from multiple positions.
The fire-control system includes a skeletonized long trigger with an overtravel screw and a skeletonized commander-style hammer. An extended left-side thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety deliver familiar 1911 controls and handling.
Grip panels are double-diamond checkered wood with the STI logo, paired with a flat, checkered mainspring housing and a lightly beveled magazine well. Capacity is 7+1, and unloaded weight is approximately 35.3 oz.
