This full-size TRP uses a 5" Government-length, bushing-style barrel and a single-action 1911 platform chambered in .45 ACP. The steel slide and frame wear a matte black/graphite finish and display the Springfield Armory crossed-cannons crest. The barrel hood is marked 'S.A. .45 AUTO' and the frame is marked 'SI GENESEO IL USA'.
A factory half-rail with three cross-slots on the dust cover adds mounting flexibility. The frame features a checkered front strap and mainspring housing, an extended and blended magazine-well funnel, and aggressively textured gray/black composite grip panels for a secure hold.
The slide includes front and rear cocking serrations and a serrated anti-glare top rib. Sighting is via an adjustable 3-dot system with a dovetailed single-dot front sight and a fully adjustable two-dot rear sight.
Controls and fire-control components are thoughtfully executed, including an ambidextrous thumb safety and an extended beavertail grip safety with memory pad. A skeletonized, long, three-hole trigger complements the single-action operation. Capacity is 8+1, and this pistol includes three 8-round steel magazines.
