The 4.62 in cold hammer-forged alloy-steel barrel uses a 1:20 RH twist. Sighting is straightforward and precise with a serrated ramp front sight and a fully adjustable square-notch rear, giving the shooter clear, repeatable adjustments.
Operation is single-action only with Ruger’s transfer-bar safety system and a loading-gate interlock. Coil springs are used throughout. The rounded trigger guard (non-Dragoon) and plow-handle grip frame provide a traditional grip angle, complemented by hardwood grip panels with Ruger medallions.
