Kimber Custom II Two-Tone .45 ACP 1911, 5-inch Full-Size, Custom Engraved Slide
This full-size Kimber Custom II Two-Tone in .45 ACP stands out with factory-style features and distinctive custom slide engraving. It combines a dark slide over a silver steel frame, fixed 3-dot sights, and Series II firing-pin block safety. The slide is engraved with "THOMAS" on the left and a "2D RANGER BN" tab/scroll on the right, giving this Government-length 1911 a unique, identifiable look.
Built on the 1911 platform, it uses a single-action system with left-side thumb safety and grip safety. An upswept beavertail with raised pad, checkered flat mainspring housing, and checkered hardwood double-diamond grips provide a classic handling profile. Forward and rear cocking serrations, a skeletonized Commander-style hammer, and a lightened three-hole aluminum trigger round out a purposeful configuration made in Yonkers, New York, USA.

This Custom II is a full-size, Government-length 5-inch configuration chambered in .45 ACP with a 7+1 capacity. The single-stack design and checkered hardwood double-diamond grips keep the profile traditional while offering a solid purchase.
The two-tone finish pairs a dark slide with a silver steel frame. The slide carries both forward and rear cocking serrations for confident manipulation. Fixed 3-dot sights include a dovetailed white-dot front blade and a low-profile, serrated white-dot rear.
Controls are set up on the left side with a manual thumb safety and a grip safety. As a Series II model, it features a Swartz-type firing-pin block actuated by the grip safety. An upswept beavertail with raised pad, smooth front strap, and a checkered flat mainspring housing reflect a classic yet practical 1911 setup.
The fire-control system uses a skeletonized Commander-style hammer and a lightened, three-hole aluminum trigger. The caliber marking is visible on the barrel hood through the ejection port, and overall execution reflects Kimber’s Yonkers, New York production.
Custom slide engraving makes this example distinctive: "THOMAS" is engraved on the left side, with a "2D RANGER BN" tab/scroll on the right. The engraving adds a notable, personalized element to an already capable two-tone 1911.
