The rifle uses a long-stroke gas piston system with a rotating bolt and a manual safety/selector lever. It is chambered in 7.62x39 with a reported 30+1 capacity and a 16.3 in barrel. The gas tube is vented, and the front end retains the bayonet lug and cleaning rod expected on this configuration.
