Made in the United States by Beretta U.S.A., this full-size M9 uses a steel barrel and an anodized aluminum alloy frame. Its short-recoil, locked-breech, DA/SA system is paired with an ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decocker and a firing pin block. The external spur hammer and open-top slide are signature elements of the platform.
The pistol bears USGI slide markings: "U.S. 9mm M9 – BERETTA U.S.A. – 65490" with the PB oval logo. The right side shows "ASSY 9346487-65490" and "PM," and the pistol has a PM acceptance mark. The frame serial uses the M9- prefix with a low sequence observed, aligning with its USGI-marked configuration.
Frame details include a non-railed profile with a straight dust cover and a lanyard loop on the grip. Checkered black grip panels with Beretta medallions provide secure purchase. The double-stack magazine design supports a 15+1 capacity.
Sights are fixed, with an integral front blade featuring a white dot and a low-profile rear notch for a clean, durable sight picture. The 4.9 in barrel length reflects the standard service configuration.
