Built on a stamped, riveted AK-pattern receiver, this PSA AK-103 retains the classic long-stroke gas piston, rotating bolt system. The receiver is marked Palmetto State Armory, West Columbia, SC, with caliber 7.62x39 and right-side selector markings "S - A - F." It includes the left-side optic dovetail and a side-folding rear trunnion/hinge.
The rifle is customized with a Midwest Industries side-folding, adjustable, skeletonized aluminum stock set to a 13.0 in length of pull. A rubberized finger-groove pistol grip enhances control. The finish is black throughout, and the stamped steel receiver provides the classic AK foundation with modernized ergonomics.
Up front, a Midwest Industries extended aluminum M-LOK handguard with an upper rail section offers modern mounting real estate. The hinged, 1913-style railed top cover adds an additional mounting surface while maintaining easy access for maintenance.
The 16.25 in threaded barrel is fitted with an SLR Rifleworks-marked muzzle device. Sights are standard AK pattern, with a hooded front post and a tangent rear sight graduated to 8. The bolt carrier’s last four digits match the receiver suffix, and the rifle feeds from a 30-round magazine for a 30+1 capacity.
