The Mark V Lazermark pairs Weatherby’s flagship action with striking 1980s Japanese craftsmanship. The receiver is marked "Weatherby – South Gate, Calif. – Made in Japan" and "MARK V," along with "U.S. PATENT NO. 3,013,355," identifying it as a Howa-produced rifle from the 1984–1986 window.
The high-gloss walnut stock shows the Lazermark’s signature presentation: a Monte Carlo profile with a right-hand cheekpiece and rollover comb, contrasting fore-end tip and grip cap with white-line spacers, a white-diamond inlay on the grip cap with the Weatherby medallion absent, and a ventilated recoil pad. Laser-carved oak-leaf and scroll panels provide crisp, decorative grip surfaces. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
Chambered in .300 Weatherby Magnum, the rifle uses a 24-inch tapered sporter barrel and an internal magazine with a hinged floorplate for a 3+1 capacity. It has a right-hand bolt handle and no factory iron sights. The action is drilled and tapped for scope bases.
An installed Weatherby Premier 3-9x40 scope complements the rifle, with the objective bell marked "Weatherby Premier." It is mounted in Buehler Orinda, Calif. bases and rings, providing a clean, period-appropriate setup for hunting or target use.
