Built on the 1875 Schofield pattern with a top-break frame, this revolver uses an automatic simultaneous star extractor for fast, positive ejection. It is a six-shot with a fluted cylinder and a 7-inch barrel, mirroring the key mechanical traits of the classic No. 3, 2nd Model layout.
The Deluxe Engraved configuration delivers full-coverage factory scroll engraving over the frame, cylinder, barrel rib, and barrel lug. The revolver wears a blued finish, complemented by a color case-hardened hammer and latch. Forged steel is used for the barrel and frame.
It is outfitted with fixed sights: a small integral front blade on the rib and a rear notch in the top latch. Markings include the patent rollmark on the barrel lug reading 'SCHOFIELD'S PATS JUNE 20TH '71, APR 22ND '73' and a 'U.S.' stamp on the butt. Matching serial numbers are present on the butt and the rear of the cylinder.
Grips are smooth walnut with brass escutcheons and a stamped cartouche/monogram marked '1877' on the left panel. Italian/CIP proof marks are located at the barrel hinge area, and the revolver bears the Taylor's & Co. Winchester VA – A. Uberti Italy import mark.
