This Belgian-made 1964 Browning Superposed Grade I Lightning (Round Knob Long Tang) is a 20-gauge over/under built in the desirable RKLT configuration. It features factory scroll engraving with rosette motifs, 29-inch barrels with a ventilated and matted rib, and a single gold-colored trigger with top tang safety. Marked "MADE IN BELGIUM" with patent rollmarks on the rib and "O" and "U" barrel monobloc stampings, it represents classic FN production from the pre-salt-wood period. An aftermarket Pachmayr White Line recoil pad with spacer is installed, providing a 15.0-inch length of pull.
Condition
Overall Condition: Good condition, showing some signs of prior use and handling.
Bore Condition: Good - Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.
Specific Condition Notes: There are moderate dings to the walnut on the frame, stock, and forearm. The cast is neutral. The top lever rests at approximately the 6 o'clock position and will need replacement. The ejectors are in time. The firing pins are in good shape and free of pitting.
