The 11-87 Sportsman Compact uses a gas-operated, self-compensating system derived from the Model 1100/11-87 lineage. It is chambered for 2 3/4" or 3" 20-gauge shells and configured with right-side ejection. Capacity is listed as 3+1.
The 21-inch carbon-steel barrel has a vent rib and a single bead front sight. It is threaded for interchangeable Rem Choke tubes, providing compatibility with the widely used Rem Choke system.
