The 642-UC is a limited Lipsey's Exclusive variant of S&W's J-Frame line, built around a stainless steel barrel and cylinder mated to a matte-silver aluminum-alloy frame. It is double-action only with an internal, enclosed hammer and a 5-round cylinder, keeping the profile streamlined and snag-resistant.
UC-specific enhancements include chamfered charge holes, a beveled cylinder front edge, and a shrouded ejector rod with a knurled tip for positive manipulation. The package also incorporates S&W's UC Endurance Package internal enhancements.
The sighting system is carry-focused: an XS Sights green-ring tritium pinned front blade paired with a black, dovetailed U-notch rear. From the factory, the sights are regulated for 15 yards with Speer 135-gr Gold Dot +P and with 148-gr wadcutters.
This micro-size revolver weighs 16.3 oz and measures 6.31 in in overall length, 4.3 in in height, and 1.3 in in width. The 1.88 in stainless barrel features a 1:18.75 RH twist. The revolver ships with a Hogue Monogrip rubber finger-groove grip installed and includes an additional UC-pattern G10 boot grip.
