This Miroku-built Charles Daly Superior Grade over/under stands out for its factory scroll engraving with gold-inlaid game birds and classic mid-1960s Japanese craftsmanship. Made in Kochi, Japan, it features 28-inch vent-rib barrels, a single gold-colored trigger, and split ejectors. It reflects Miroku heritage from the era that preceded the later Browning Citori production.

Made in Japan by Miroku Firearms Mfg. Co. in Kochi, this Charles Daly Superior Grade dates to approximately 1965–1967. It carries correct period markings, including the B.C. MIROKU cartouche on the receiver bottom and the MIROKU FIREARMS MFG.

CO. KOCHI JAPAN barrel address, along with CHARLES DALY and proof marks noted as SP, NP, 20, and 75mm.

The 20 gauge over/under configuration uses 28-inch barrels with a ventilated, matted rib and bead sights. It has 3-inch (75mm) chambers and a two-round capacity. The action is a break-action boxlock with a tang safety, a single gold-colored trigger, and split, timed ejectors. A lever-style forend latch secures the beavertail forend.

Stocked in high-gloss walnut, the gun features a pistol grip, hand-cut checkering, and a ventilated recoil pad with a white-line spacer. Metalwork is finished in blued/black. The receiver shows factory scroll engraving complemented by gold-inlaid game birds on both side panels. The trigger guard bow features a gold-inlaid "DAVE WILSON" name, which appears to be a later, non-factory personalization.

This Superior Grade reflects Miroku heritage from the 1960s and is part of the lineage that led to later Miroku-built over/unders for Browning. Its Japanese manufacture, factory engraving, and period-correct features make it a noteworthy example of Miroku’s craftsmanship.
