What’s Included
- W. A. Sukalle custom Mauser G.33/40 bolt-action rifle in .270 Win. with 24 inch barrel
- Installed two-piece scope bases (one base marked Redfield, U.S. Patent No. 1,837,290)
Built on the light and compact Mauser G.33/40 action, this rifle preserves the action’s original G.33/40 side-rail marking and German eagle/WaA acceptance stamps. It operates with classic Mauser 98-type controlled-feed reliability and uses an internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate for a nominal 5+1 capacity.
The barrel is a 24 inch slim sporter contour with a polished blued finish and no iron sights, and the chamber area is stamped “270 WCF.” Metalwork is polished and blued throughout, and the bolt body is engine-turned for a clean, refined look.
The custom stock is crafted from highly figured hardwood and features fleur-de-lis checkering, a contrasting forend tip with a white-line spacer, an oval metal grip cap with a white-line spacer, and a raised cheekpiece with a shadowline. A checkered steel buttplate and sling swivel studs round out a classic, durable sporter configuration.
The action is drilled and tapped and fitted with two-piece bases, including a Redfield unit marked with U.S. Patent No. 1,837,290. An aftermarket side-swing low-scope safety complements the setup, providing clearance for mounted optics if desired.
