The Model 120 Ranger employs a rotating-bolt lockup with four lugs, providing solid engagement within the 1200/1300 design lineage. It ejects to the right and uses an action-unlock button located at the front-left of the trigger guard. The receiver is aluminum alloy with a black finish, paired to a blued steel barrel.
The 28-inch barrel is factory threaded for WinChoke tubes and is currently fitted with a flush-fit Full WinChoke. A ventilated rib aids sight alignment, and a brass bead front sight provides a clear point of aim.
This shotgun is chambered for both 2 3/4-inch and 3-inch 12 gauge shells, offering flexibility in load selection. The listed capacity is 2+1. The bore condition is excellent, with a clean, mirror-like finish.
Furniture includes a hardwood pistol-grip stock with a ventilated recoil pad and an uncheckered finish, matched to a corncob-style wood forend. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches, giving a traditional field fit and balance.
The barrel is roll-marked "Made in New Haven, Conn. U.S.A.," and the Ranger designation denotes this model's place within the Winchester 120/1300 family. This example aligns with the 1980s production era and retains the straightforward, reliable pump-action operation associated with the line.
