The SLR-107R is built on a stamped 1 mm AKM-pattern receiver with reinforcement dimples and a ribbed top cover. It uses the standard long-stroke gas piston system and a 90-degree gas block. Selector markings are S and F. Importer markings read Arsenal Inc., Las Vegas, NV, with Made in Bulgaria country-of-origin markings.
The 16.25-inch barrel is cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined, and threaded. A slotted muzzle brake is installed and retained by a detent plunger. The rifle uses a standard double-stack AK magazine interface and is configured for 30+1 capacity.
Furniture includes a fixed wood stock with a rear sling swivel and a 13.0-inch length of pull. The upper and lower laminated wood handguards feature a palm swell, and the brown checkered pistol grip is marked 55/2. Iron sights include a protected front post and a tangent rear sight graduated to 800 meters.
Additional features include a left-side receiver optics rail, a front sight base with bayonet lug, and the cleaning rod present. This example also has an upgraded trigger. The SLR-107R is noted by Arsenal as a discontinued model in their Historic section.
