The action is the Mauser 98 large-ring design with a charger/stripper-clip guide, gas-shielded bolt shroud, and straight bolt handle. It uses a three-position flag safety and feeds from an internal 5-round box magazine with a hinged floorplate.
Sighting equipment includes a fixed blade front sight with protective ears and a tangent rear sight with a sliding cursor and metric graduations, suited to the era and cartridge. A bayonet nose-cap assembly is fitted at the fore-end.
