This is the full-size M&P22 variant with a 4.1 in barrel, distinct from the later U.S.-made Compact.
The operating system is straight blowback with single-action function and an internal hammer. A hinged trigger and polymer frame pair with an aluminum alloy slide in a black finish, delivering the familiar M&P-series ergonomics and texture in a .22 LR format.
Controls are well laid out, with an ambidextrous manual safety, a conventional slide stop, and a reversible magazine release. The open ejection port allows quick visual status checks.
Sighting is handled by a 3-dot set with an adjustable rear sight. An integral four-slot accessory rail on the dustcover supports common rail-mounted lights. Capacity is 10+1 as configured with the included factory 10-round magazine.
