This Echasa Eibar Modelo GZ-MAB "MAB española" is a Spanish-produced continuation of the MAB G/GZ design from the 1960s–1970s. It is a compact, straight-blowback, single-action .32 ACP with a fixed barrel, blued carbon-steel construction, and classic fixed sights. It includes two 7-round magazines, its original (broken) ECHASA polymer grips, and installed plain hardwood grip panels.
Condition
Overall Condition: Poor condition.
Bore Condition: Fair - Generally clean, some residue or smudges, slight corrosion.
Bore Rifling: Good Rifling - Intact, well-defined lands and grooves.
Specific Condition Notes: The trigger is inconsistent; after firing, it must be pressed forward manually to reset. The original grips were broken and have been replaced with smooth wood grip panels. Built in Spain and marked "MADE IN SPAIN," this compact .32 ACP follows the MAB G/GZ lineage and is roll-marked "MAB española." Its period-correct configuration and Spanish manufacture place it in the 1960s–1970s era.
The pistol uses a straight-blowback, single-action, hammer-fired system with a fixed 3.15-inch barrel. This fixed-barrel layout is characteristic of the design and pairs with the .32 ACP chambering for a compact profile.
Controls include a left-side manual safety and a button-style magazine release positioned ahead and slightly below the safety. An exposed spur hammer and smooth curved trigger complete the operating setup.
Hardware details include rear vertical slide serrations, a blued slide and frame in carbon steel, and fixed sights consisting of a small half-moon front blade and an integral rear notch. Capacity is 7+1, and two 7-round magazines are included.
This example currently wears smooth light-colored wood grip panels; the original ECHASA checkered black polymer panels are included (broken). A red cardboard box labeled "Caliber 32" is also included.
