Built on the robust RPK-pattern stamped steel receiver with a bulged front trunnion and slant-back rear, this Vepr-K delivers the heavier-duty construction that distinguishes Molot’s Vepr line. The receiver is finished in black and paired with a fixed, skeletonized polymer stock, a polymer pistol grip, and a sporter-profile polymer fore-end.
The 16-inch barrel ends in a plain crowned muzzle. Sighting is via a rear tangent and a protected front post, providing a familiar, adjustable setup. The receiver includes the standard AK side-rail for mounting compatible optics.
This carbine accepts AK-74-pattern rock-and-lock magazines and is chambered in 5.45x39. Included are a 95-round translucent twin-drum magazine and a 30-round polymer box magazine, along with a dedicated drum pouch and an AK-74 5.45x39 magazine loader.
Markings include "MADE IN RUSSIA," "VEPR cal. 5,45x39," selector letters "S" and "F," the Molot factory emblem with "VYATSKIE POLYANY," an "04" stamp, and Cyrillic proof/inspection symbols. Import marks indicate ZDF/Robinson Armament Co., Salt Lake City, with "ROBINSON ARMAMENT CO., SLC, UT" molded into the buttstock. This example is noted as pre-ban, imported prior to later U.S. sanctions/import bans on Russian Molot/Vepr rifles.
