Built on the Mauser 98 large-ring receiver, this vz. 24 includes the left-side thumb cut and charger clip guide, a turned-down bolt with round knob (bolt in the white), and receiver gas venting. Its three-position flag safety, large gas-shield bolt shroud, and third locking lug reflect the design’s emphasis on strength and safety.
Rechambered for 7.62x51mm NATO, the rifle is clearly marked "7.62"/"CA-7.62" on the receiver, aligning with its NATO conversion. It uses a 22-inch barrel and a 5-round internal staggered-column magazine that is fed by stripper clips, staying true to the original service layout.
The sighting system features a protected front sight and a V-notch tangent rear sight graduated 3–20. Furniture includes a hardwood stock with a straight comb, semi-pistol grip, recoil cross-bolt, and a side sling system with a buttstock sling slot and front band swivel.
