This F.N.A.–Brescia Moschetto Mod. 91/38 per Truppe Speciali (TS) carbine stands out for its compact 17.7-inch barrel, fixed rear sight block set forward of the receiver, and matching serial numbers on the barrel shank and buttstock. Chambered in 6.5 Carcano with a bright, clean bore and sharp rifling, it comes with an original leather sling and a steel Mannlicher-type en-bloc clip, making it a strong example for shooters and collectors alike. Manufactured in 1943.
The carbine features blued metal components with the receiver left in-the-white/gray patina, and a hardwood stock with a two-piece upper handguard and a single barrel band with sling swivel, complemented by a separate nose cap/bayonet-lug assembly. Bottom-mounted sling swivels and a metal buttplate complete the classic Carcano field layout.
Sighting is straightforward and rugged: a fixed blade front sight with protective ears and a fixed, non-adjustable rear notch block positioned ahead of the receiver. The length of pull measures 12.5 inches.
Feeding is via the integral Mannlicher-type en-bloc clip system. The nose cap has a plain transverse bar bayonet lug for the M1891-pattern knife bayonet; retention is by the push-button on the bayonet itself, and safety is handled by the traditional cocking-piece safety at the rear of the bolt.
Markings include "CAL. 6.5" under the handguard. This Italian-made TS carbine retains matching numbers on key components and presents with an excellent bore, aligning well with its overall cared-for condition.
