This Legion SAO variant of the P229 pairs a stainless steel slide with an aluminum-alloy frame, both finished in Legion Gray. The slide carries the LEGION wordmark and chevron, with the left side marked "SIG SAUER P229." The barrel hood is marked "9mm x 19," and the right side of the frame reads "SIG SAUER INC., NEWINGTON–NH–USA."
The fire control system is single-action-only with a flat-faced trigger and ambidextrous manual safeties; there is no decocker on this configuration. A checkered front strap, under-trigger-guard relief cut, and beavertail grip tang support secure handling. Black textured grip panels feature Legion medallions.
Sight equipment consists of tritium night sights, including an H3-coded front sight with a high-visibility green ring and a tritium rear sight. The sight radius measures 5.7 in. An integral three-slot accessory rail on the dust cover supports compatible lights or lasers.
