The Model 71 Jaguar is a compact member of Beretta’s 70 Series, chambered in .22 LR with an 8+1 capacity and a 3.5 inch barrel. This example is Italian-made and bears the Century Arms International import stamp (C.A.I. Georgia, VT), preserving its origin and import history.
It runs a simple blowback, single-action-only system with an external spur hammer. Controls include a heel-type magazine catch, a thumb safety with a red dot indicator, and a lanyard loop.
Construction highlights include an aluminum alloy frame and Beretta’s signature open-top slide with rear slide serrations. Sighting is straightforward: a fixed square-notch rear on the slide; front sight configuration as shown in the photos (current setup uses a muzzle adapter/accessory). Grips are black checkered polymer with Beretta PB medallions.
Original slide markings are present: "Pietro Beretta Gardone V.T. Cal. 22 L.R." and "P.B. Made in Italy." The pistol includes a factory Beretta PB steel magazine with a finger-extension floorplate for added purchase.
Also included is an unbranded faux suppressor/flash hider that attaches via an adapter and set screw, offering an included accessory that can be installed or removed as desired.
