The forged 4140 steel frame and slide use Tisas' HBM method, providing a robust foundation finished in dark gray Cerakote H-210 on both slide and frame. The slide is marked "M1911 A1 GOVT." and features rear-only, vertical serrations with a lowered/scalloped ejection port and rear relief cut.
Internals follow the Series 70 pattern and include a titanium firing pin. Operation is single-action, short-recoil with a short, solid trigger and a short spur hammer. Safety features include a thumb safety and a grip safety, and the magazine release has a checkered face.
The pistol stays true to GI form with fixed GI-pattern sights: a front blade and rear notch. Ergonomics include A1-style relief cuts behind the trigger and an arched, vertically serrated mainspring housing with a lanyard loop. Double-diamond checkered wood grips are installed, with spare GI-style plastic panels included.
This Government-size 1911 uses standard 1911 magazines and has a 7+1 capacity. Markings include "TISAS KNOXVILLE, TN, ZIG M1911 TURKIYE," reflecting its manufacture in Türkiye.
