What’s Included
- Investarm Hawken .50 caliber flintlock rifle
Made by Investarm S.r.l. in Italy and imported under the Charles Daly brand, this single-shot muzzleloader follows the classic Hawken pattern. The barrel is clearly marked "BLACK POWDER ONLY - MADE IN ITALY - CAL. 50," aligning with its intended use and period-correct design.
The 28-inch blued steel octagonal barrel pairs with iron sights consisting of a blade front and an adjustable open rear, giving a clean, traditional sight picture. The flintlock action and double-set triggers offer a crisp, tunable trigger release suited to precise shooting with patched round ball or conical projectiles.
The hardwood half-stock includes a left-side cheekpiece and brass furniture throughout: a crescent buttplate, nosecap, and ramrod thimbles. A right-side circular-lid brass patchbox and a fore-end wedge/key with oval escutcheons complete the Hawken-style appointments. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches.
The lockplate carries tasteful scroll engraving, and markings include "Made in Italy," the Gardone star-over-shield proof, star-over PN black powder proof, the boxed I Investarm maker's mark, and the AH date code for 1981. Overall fit and finish present cleanly, with features that will appeal to both shooters and collectors of traditional muzzleloaders.
