The M&P-15 is built on the AR-15 platform and chambered in 5.56mm NATO, offering a 30+1 capacity and compatibility with AR-15/STANAG pattern magazines. It uses a semi-automatic, direct impingement action with a carbine-length gas system for a familiar, serviceable setup.
The flat-top upper features a T-marked Picatinny rail (T2–T12) with S&W label, plus a forward assist, ejection-port cover, and brass deflector. Sight setup includes a pinned A2 front sight base and an installed polymer flip-up rear sight.
The 16 in barrel is threaded and fitted with an A2-style birdcage flash suppressor. A 1:9 RH twist rate supports a broad range of common 5.56/.223 bullet weights.
Furniture is finished in flat dark earth (FDE) and includes a Magpul MOE collapsible carbine stock, Magpul MOE pistol grip, and a two-piece polymer carbine handguard with MOE-style slots. The receiver is aluminum alloy with a matte finish, and the rifle is made in the United States.
This rifle ships with two 30-round Magpul PMAG polymer magazines. The bore condition is excellent with sharp rifling, supporting the overall very good condition rating.
