The FPC’s folding design uses a rear sliding charging handle that doubles as the latch when stowed, creating a compact profile for transport without removing parts. When unfolded, the carbine locks into a rigid configuration for shooting, and the optics rail is located on the folding fore-end to help preserve zero when folded.
Its 16.25 in 4140 steel barrel is threaded 1/2x28 with a 1:10 twist and comes fitted with a multi-port brake/compensator. The blowback-operated, semi-automatic action incorporates an integrated recoil buffer system to manage movement during cycling.
Magazine compatibility is a core feature: the FPC accepts double-stack M&P pistol magazines, including compact and larger sizes with spacers as applicable. The stock stores spare magazines and uses quick-release retainers for fast access. This example includes two 21-round magazines and one 17-round magazine.
The build pairs a hard-coat anodized aluminum receiver with a polymer frame and stock, finished in black. The carbine uses an M&P-pattern pistol grip with the S&W medallion, a flat-faced trigger with a safety tab, and a left-side magazine release. It wears a free-float style M-LOK handguard with a full-length Picatinny top rail; sights are not included.
