It features an adjustable gas system, a continuous numbered MIL-STD-1913 top rail, and comes with seven magazines. Factory markings and a matte black finish round out a well-configured, full-size SCAR variant.

The 20-inch heavy-profile barrel is marked "MP FN 7.62 x 51MM 1:10" and pairs with an adjustable gas system at the gas block. A SureFire-marked two-port muzzle brake/adapter with NSN text is installed to help manage recoil and muzzle movement.
The receiver is aluminum with a matte black finish and carries factory markings including the FN oval logo, a 2D matrix mark, and "FN COLUMBIA, SC USA." It is marked "SCAR 20S MULTI-CALIBER" and features a continuous, numbered MIL-STD-1913 top rail with T-marks 1–55.
The fore-end provides additional Picatinny rails at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock for accessory placement. A left-side reciprocating charging handle supports positive manipulation, and the two-position safety selector is marked "S" and "1."
The fixed precision stock includes an adjustable cheek riser and adjustable buttpad, with length-of-pull adjustability (13.25 inches as configured). A Hogue pistol grip with finger grooves enhances control. The short-stroke gas piston action delivers semi-automatic operation with a 20+1 capacity when using 20-round magazines.
