The P-01 configuration combines a compact aluminum alloy frame with a short-recoil, locked-breech, tilting-barrel operating system. The 3.75 inch hammer-forged steel barrel and black polycoat finish on both frame and slide contribute to a durable, carry-friendly sidearm. An integral accessory rail with a single slot and a lanyard loop are built into the frame.
This example uses DA/SA, hammer-fired operation with a decocker. It has fixed, dovetailed iron sights and a single-dot front sight. Controls include the standard magazine release and slide stop.
Feeding is via double-stack magazines, with two 17-round and one 15-round mags included. Stated capacity is 17+1. The magazines present a mix of extended and flush baseplates.
Markings include the slide legend 'CZ 75 P-01 CAL. 9 LUGER,' C.I.P. proofs, the triangular '21' proof/date mark near the ejection port, and the importer stamp 'CZ-USA KANSAS CITY, KS.' The right frame carries NSN 1005-16-000-8619. Manufacturer is CZ-UB with CZ-USA as the importer, and the serial numbers on the slide, frame, and barrel match.
